Will be linked to her in 2018: Arjun on films with Parineeti
Actor Arjun Kapoor has said that he is going to be linked-up with actress Parineeti Chopra next year, as they will be working in two films together. Arjun added, “First in ‘Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar’ and then…we will come together in ‘Namestey Canada’ as well.” Notably, Arjun made his acting debut opposite Parineeti in the 2012 film ‘Ishaqzaade’.
With both of his upcoming films featuring Parineeti Chopra as co-star, Arjun Kapoor quipped he is prepared to handle the link-up rumours with the actor.
Arjun and Parineeti, who debuted together in Bollywood with Ishaqzaade, are reuniting for two projects – Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar and Namastey Canada. “We are working in two films. First in Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar and then, whether you’re satisfied or not, we will come together in Namestey Canada as well. So next year, I am going to be linked-up only with Parineeti because I would be working only with her,” Arjun joked.
The actor was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of new Audi 5 range here last night. Directed by Dibakar Banerjee, Sandeep Aur… is a story of two people who represent two completely different groups of Indians.
Arjun said he is busy preparing for the film and is spending time with the director to understand his character better. “I am neck-deep in the prep for the film. I was in Delhi for a bit, I’ve been travelling with him, getting into the skin of the character. The film has a realistic texture so I had to spend time connecting with the world the film is set in. Dibakar is clear about what he wants. I’ve given same number of days for prep as much I’ve given for the shoot. He wanted that from the beginning.”

The story of the film is about a man and woman, who represent two completely different Indias, and also deals with their love-hate relationship, according to the statement on the micro-blogging site.
Talking about the new project, Dibakar said, “This feels like my first film, again. I’ve had to unlearn everything I know to tell this story about a man and a woman who can’t stand each other but can’t survive without each other.”
Parineeti said she used to dream about working with Dibakar.
“His films are so different and always make an impact. I am so ready to bite my teeth into this character and give the audience something intense!” she said.
Arjun, who made his debut with YRF, said it was great to come back to the studio.
“It feels great to be back home at YRF working with Adi sir and Parineeti, my most amazing and first ever co-actor. Dibakar Banerjee is a name synonymous with being the torchbearer of evolving new age cinema that engages and entertains. I can’t wait to work under his tutelage and vision.”
Dibakar and YRF have previously collaborated on Titli and Detective Byomkesh Bakshy.
